Smokey Mountain July 4th

Great Smoky Mountains [0852]Image by Scott Kinmartin via Flickr
Had a great opportunity to join friends at Elkmont in the Smokey Mountains this weekend.  First experience camping in the great Smokey Mountains and was treated to beauty that is breathtaking.  Miles and miles of tall trees and streams provide the backdrop for peaceful relaxation.  Just a few miles from the horrible traffic that is Sevierville and Pigeon Forge just bypass Gatlinburg to the other side and you will find heaven on earth.

What do you do on the final day of a long holiday weekend? I'm a free and clear single guy...I can do whatever...and the whatever part is the problem right now. I don't have a clear vision of whatever means at the moment. I think I've landed in the mid forties funk that calls for a complete reset of everything. Back to whatever... let's start my first blog...here it is "Mid Forties Now What? Never would have dreamed that the blog world would exist and I good play without as much as any effort...simply reading the latest entry from David Hale's "Bulldogs Blog" hit a button and a blog is born.

Not sure on blog best practices...but I'll do homework and see if we have something going forward.
